Semiotic Theory

In my Media lesson today we learnt bout 'Semiotic Theory'. The 'Semiotic Theory' was thought up by a man called Saussure he came up with this theory based on how the human brain analysis pictures, colours and what the over all message of it is.

Saussure believed that there are three processes of which our brain reacts to what is put in front of us. For example if you are watching a television programme and it is raining your brain will automatically analysis it and think that its not going to be a happy scene and if the music is moody that convinces the person watching it that the scene is suspicious and something is going to happen this signifies that the mood is depressing.
